Hello, and WELCOME to the Bare Bones Yoga Podcast: Conversations for Yoga Teachers! This is EPISODE 3 and today we’re going to dive into a conversation that is near and dear to my heart: building a yoga business. Now, for those of you who connected with me because of my love of anatomy and all that I share and create to teach you about the anatomy of yoga, that’s also a huge passion of mine. Along with that, helping teachers grow their own businesses is a passion too. Today we’re going to talk first about business MINDSET and then we’ll talk about business and teaching TECHNIQUES. I’ll be sharing a cool resource that you can use to help you build your business AND I’m giving you a special PODCAST OFFER at the end so stay on until the end to catch it. Much of the content on today’s podcast is inspired by my first book, “Stretched: Build Your Yoga Business, Grow Your Teaching Techniques” which you can check out on Amazon. Today’s podcast covers some key topics in the book plus some extra content and as always is filled with stories and other ideas to round out your listening experience. Let’s get started!

Facing Your Self Limiting Beliefs (EP.02)

Hello, and WELCOME to the Bare Bones Yoga Podcast: Conversations for Yoga Teachers! This is EPISODE 2 and today we’re going to tackle a tough subject: SELF LIMITING BELIEFS. My first episode was an introduction to the podcast and if you missed that one, go to my website, barebonesyoga.com and you can catch it on the podcast page or of course, check it out on Podbean.
Here in this second episode, I wanted to hit the ground running with a subject that I think is so important for yoga teachers to address within themselves but one that rarely gets discussed. Think about it: When was the last time you shared with a colleague that you were feeling “less than” when it came to teaching and more about what was behind that feeling?
It can be really hard for teachers to admit these things to themselves let alone other teachers. It’s also not all that uncommon to feel isolated when it comes to having a teaching mentor or someone to talk to, about the fears and doubts you have. In my virtual coaching sessions with teachers, I hear a number of concerns and while they all take on a different tone, the common thread is usually fear.
So, we’re going to discuss it ALL here on the podcast so let’s get started!

Welcome to Episode 1 of The Bare Bones Yoga Podcast: Conversations for Yoga Teachers. I’m so excited to launch this, the first of what will become a podcast library, filled with topics for yoga teachers to help you grow, learn and expand your skills as a teacher.
My name is Karen Fabian and I’m the Founder of Bare Bones Yoga. Through my work as a teacher and my books and online courses, I help yoga teachers learn more about the anatomy of yoga. Through this podcast we’ll cover some of that and also lots of other topics too. Think of it like sitting down with a teacher or colleague for tea.
In this first episode, I’ll introduce you to the podcast and what you can expect and gain by listening. Join me here and also on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and my website at www.barebonesyoga.com
